Just Stitch Challenge Day Five!

I couldn't resist making another pair of teeny preemie felt booties since there was a blue piece of felt in the "kit". Little boy booties....
I stitched a tiny sailboat on the toe using DMC Floche. The boat is three bullions (10 wraps, 12 wraps and 14 wraps) in yellow. The mast is one strand of brown: just one straight stitch. The white sails are straight stitches with one across the bottom of each sail. The flag is one tiny lazy daisy stitch in red. Makes for a cute little boat.
Then it was on to the blanket stitch again, this time in white Valdani #12 pearl cotton after pinning the two upper pieces to the sole. You can't use many pins because they get in the way.
Then comes the "lacing" using two strands of the pearl cotton and two needles.
The cute little pair is finished! They work up fairly quickly...I find them addictive to make in felt.

Both pair, girl and boy, together. These will be turned into my local SAGA Chapter's Wee Care chairperson to go to our local hospital.

We have two more days of the Just Stitch For Seven Days Challenge. Please check it all out on Instagram at #Juststitchsevendaychallenge and on Facebook in the SAGA Discussion page. Please also check out Jeannie Baumeister's blog about her stitching during this challenge, and of course, her store (The Old Fashioned Baby)!
I wonder what I will stitch tomorrow.....
