Teaching in Texas!

I returned a week ago from teaching in Fort Worth, Texas (actually in Colleyville) for the Lone Star Smockers, a chapter of SAGA. They asked for the Pink Lily of the Valley Baby Dress, otherwise known as the Released Box Pleats: A New Way to Change an Old Pattern.

We also did the Beaded Strawberry Scissor Case class....lots of fun with beads, making cord, and a beaded tassel.
The classroom was in a very large church and we had a great setup with coffee in the hall, plenty of cold water, snacks and chocolate....always need chocolate when stitching!
The classroom had great lighting and lots of room.
And we all received a gorgeous thread catcher as a favor.  Each was a little different and lovingly made by Wendy, the chapter president and my host! I love mine and it's on my sewing table ready to put my pins into and all of my "orts". Thank you, Wendy!!
